


The great art with its pleasant pastel color scheme really help get you into the dream-like trance to vibe out and start nodding your head and tapping keys to the music. This is exactly what you'd expect from one of those games - a series of rhythm based minigames leading up to a remix that combines elements of what you played previously. Built with GZDoom, Selaco is a surprisingly modern shooter (immersive world, great soundtrack, F.E.A.R. Like Agent 64, this is another FPS with some classic roots. I would not have expected to enjoy something so reminiscent of Goldeneye in a modern context, but the generous auto-aim paired with modern mouse-look works pretty well alongside the classic Rare shooter vibes. You only need to see this game in action for a few seconds to know what it's going for, and it's pretty much nailing it.
